Olive Leaves: this extract is rich in triterpene compounds, oleuropein and flavonoids. Its properties are varied, affect the metabolism of lipids (cholesterol-lowering action), blood sugar (hypoglycemic) and blood pressure (antihypertensive action). The mildly diuretic activity completes the depurative action.
Burdock Root: this plant is extremely beneficial to the control of blood sugar and cholesterol. Recent studies also seem to correlate the activity of arctigenin with a selective modulation of visceral fat mass.
Dandelion root: the most active substances are sterols, flavonoids and bitter principles. This extract is able to increase the gallbladder contraction and secretion of bile. The root also contains a good quantity of inulin (up to 40%). Dandelion also has a good diuretic action that improves depuration.
Turmeric rhizome: curcumin is definitely the best known active component of this root, but the synergic activity of the various constituents of the entire plant complex is also to be considered. The main activities are as cholagogue, choleretic and anti-inflammatory. This plant extract protects against liver damage and improves liver function.
Anise fruit, this plant complex shows antispasmodic, antibacterial and anti-fermentative actions. This activity is particularly expressed at the intestinal tract level. Anise sums its antispasmodic activity on the gastro-intestinal muscles to an activity favouring gastric and salivary secretion.
Terminalia fruit: this plant extract has shown interesting antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities as well as inhibiting lipid peroxidation. Its main constituents are gallic, caffeic, ferulic and vanillic acids. Terminalia is known in Ayurvedic medicine to be one of the ingredients in Triphala (a blend for digestive activity).
As depurative of the whole body, this fluid especially improves liver functions. Useful before starting a weight loss diet. It may be a good help to specific treatments for weight loss. It has excellent antioxidant, preventing damage from free radicals. This product has also a good draining activity that favor depuration.
